The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic Education Foundation (ALCE Foundation) has received a contribution of $26,409.13. This amount marks the largest fundraised contribution in the history of the foundation, which has supported local families since its inception in 2007.
The winner of this 50/50 raffle will be announced later this week.
"We are absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity of our communities. With the final 50/50 raffle pot of over $67,000, this has become one of the biggest fundraising events for the ALCE Foundation,” said Leila Goyer, Chair of the ALCE Foundation.
“The impact of these funds will be felt directly by students and families facing financial hardship across our board. On behalf of the foundation, thank you for showing up with such heart. Your support means more than you know.”
This is the second 50/50 raffle that the ALCDSB has hosted this year. The third and final raffle of 2025 will go live in November.
